Do you want to build a snowman?

Around here, we’ve had a lot of snow, but most of it has been just miserable ice pellets. I tried to get the kids to bundle up and go out, but mostly those excursions ended like this:

He got snow on his mitten. Oh, the humanity!

Frankly, I’m about ready to give up on the winter outside time thing entirely. It takes so long to bundle them up! And they last for pretty much NO TIME once they’re out.

But there was one GLORIOUS day, when we had managed a proper snow and it was probably 35 degrees out…and they learned all about how snow can be kind of fun.
